Dave Ciappa started building Hot Rods in the late 70’s after retiring from a successful career in Drag Racing. His John Lingenfelter small block Chevrolet powered B/Econo Dragster set both the ET and MPH records in 1978.
Growing up, Dave was fascinated by everything automotive and by the time he was 16 he would regularly borrow his dad’s 1957 Plymouth for secret trips off to Niagara Raceway Park to run the car down the quarter-mile. This hunger for performance eventually led to a 20-year career in drag racing, starting in the early ’60s where he campaigned his first Corvette: a 1966 model in the E/SP class.
Dave’s first attempt at Rodding was a ’36 Ford 2-door hump trunk that was very cool for it’s time and is still on the road today! Over the next 30 years, Dave has owned many award winning cars which have adorned the covers and pages of most Rod and Custom magazines always paying strong attention to Quality and Style.
Dave’s “eye” for detail and current trends in Rods and Customs stimulated their new “Hot Rods n Stuff” business where he and his wife Sue maintain this website to buy-sell or trade some of the finest cars in the country.
They have established a very strong repeat customer base to supply Web Advertising to buy-sell or trade great classic vehicles. Hot Rods n Stuff also offers:
- Bonded appraisal and locator services
- Consultation/Coordination on building/rebuilding that special project
- Transportation and Shipping arrangements
